These are all great examples of unintended consequences—of leaders being so focused on the potential positives a particular choice will result in (and being overly seduced by the profits they will make), all the while pooh-poohing those who bravely point out the flawed thinking and what is sure to happen when refusing to explore a more complete view of outcomes.
